Support needed to celebrate the industry’s support staff

SATSA News

In its most basic form, hospitality can be defined as the provision of shelter, food, and beverages to a guest. However, the way in which these basic needs are provided set the difference between an ordinary and an exceptional guest experience.

This means that our support staff (housekeepers, waiters, scullers, etc.) play an enormously large role in making tourism and hospitality products a success.

The aim of the Annual Hospitality Awards and Gala Dinner is to honor the men and women who so kindly service our guests, and spoil them with a night of luxurious hospitality treatment.

The awards are the brainchild of Exclusive Hospitality Concepts (EHC) Managing Director, Francine Zana, who believes that empowered and motivated staff will lead to exceptional guest service. EHC is dedicated and passionate about empowering and motivating junior staff members.

Planning is currently underway for the Annual Awards which will be a national campaign with the first stop being the 5th Annual Gala Dinner at the Boardwalk Convention Centre in Port Elizabeth on 30 June 2023.

To recognise the exceptional men and women that support our industry, the awards have the following seven categories:

1. Best Housekeeper

2. Best Barman/Bar lady

3. Best Chef

4. Best Gardner

5. Best Guest Relations

6. Best Duty Manager

7. Service Excellence

Hospitality establishments, hotels, restaurants, and lodges are encouraged to nominate their staff. For more information visit www.exclusivehospitalityconcepts.co.za.

The success of previous annual dinners came down to the passionate team at EHC, together with generous sponsorships.

To make the 2023 awards bigger and better, we kindly reach out to the industry to partner with us. Sponsorship can take the form of bed nights, weekends away, meal vouchers, sponsored activities, etc., or a cash donation should you wish.

As a sponsor, you will receive:

•  Your company logo on brochures distributed during the event

•  An opportunity to display marketing and branding in and around the venue

•  A thank you note from the Master of Ceremony

•  Media exposure for high-value sponsors

We hope for your positive feedback and that you will join us in celebrating and recognising the best of the best among those who don’t often get recognition.
