Our gratitude to those who were able to participate in our AGM last week.

SATSA is thrilled to announce that our membership count reached 1,151 products (including subsidiaries and divisions). Year to date, we have welcomed 122 new members and have 95 new applications in the pipeline. This stands as a testament to an industry in recovery and the association's good work.

We are also pleased to note a significant boost in the adventure tourism sector with SATSA’s Adventure Chapter having published a Roadmap for Growth as well as the Code of Good Practice and its relevant Guidelines.

 

This above aligns with our efforts in structured engagement and collaboration with South African Tourism and TBCSA. The approach allows us to seize the unique opportunities presented by various segments of our tourism industry.

 

AGM Resolutions:

  • Adoption of the amended SATSA NPC MOI, pending a timeline addition to Wildlife in Captivity adherence
  • Election of members to serve on SATSA’s Chapter Committees

  • Approval of 2022 Treasurer’s Report 
  • Resolved that the firm Alchemy Audit Services be reappointed for the ensuing year
  • Resolved that the auditors’ remuneration be approved for the 2023 financial year
  • Resolved that the annual Membership fees will increase by 5% for the year commencing on 01 January 2024

 

Following another successful AGM, we express our gratitude to members, partners, stakeholders, and SATSA staff for their continued support and commitment to the association. We remain committed to positioning Inbound Tourism and this Country and Region as the tourism powerhouse it deserves to be.
