Remembering Helen Brewer: A Passionate Industry Professional

The community mourns the sudden passing of Helen Brewer, a loving and compassionate woman who tragically lost her life due to a home invasion.  Helen's joyful spirit and inspirational presence will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all who knew her.

 

As those close to Helen grapple with this immense loss, they find solace in their faith, praying for her eternal peace and comfort for those grieving her absence. This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of life's fragility and the enduring impact a kind soul can have on others.

 

Helen Brewer was a highly accomplished professional. Her career began as Operations Manager for a member foundation, where she spearheaded the planning of 30 conferences annually.  She also undertook extensive convention centre consultancies throughout Southern Africa and later founded the MICE Academy, designing, planning, and facilitating educational training programs.

 

Helen's dedication to the industry extended beyond her own work.  She served on several boards, including the Durban ICC Board of Directors, the SAACI National Chair position, the SATSA Board, and was a founding member of the EGF.
