Preparation for the potential National Shutdown 20 March

SATSA News

SATSA has received several inquiries regarding the potential national shutdown on 20 March 2023.

SATSA and all stakeholders are monitoring the situation closely and currently, it is business as usual across the board.

All security services/companies, community forums, SAPS and of course the SATSA Safety Committee are on full standby. If any of your tourists feel unsafe, remember the SECURA Traveller App.

I would like to encourage frontline and operational staff to join the SATSA Safety and Advice WhatsApp group. We have 311 members and partners across South Africa in the group at the moment. This is a good platform to get and share real-time on-the-ground information, especially on a day such as the one that might happen on the 20th.

To join, please send a WhatsApp to Hannelie du Toit with your name, company, and cell number to 083 600 3555.

We would also like to share with you the following statement issued by ACSA:

Update: Industrial action mitigation measures by Airport Planning Committee.
