The Federated Hospitality Association of South Africa (FEDHASA) is calling for the industry to nominate individuals who are deserving of an award at the inaugural FEDHASA Hospitality Awards.

Taking place on 12 April 2024 at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town, the awards recognise outstanding contributions to the industry across several categories, including leadership, operations, sustainability, customer service and culinary excellence.

With the deadline for entries and nominations approaching next month, FEDHASA is encouraging members to put forward the names of their shining stars, colleagues and managers or to throw their own hat into the ring.

FEDHASA National Chairperson Rosemary Anderson explains that they purposely created broad categories and included all areas of expertise and skill levels from general managers, hospitality tech support and housekeeping staff to young professionals. “We are particularly interested in innovation – the individuals pushing boundaries,” she says. “With our dedicated, user-friendly website, it’s now even easier to enter the awards or put forward nominees, and I encourage everyone to visit the site and cast their vote.”

FEDHASA has also made exclusive headline sponsorship available and created various sponsorship packages, offering hospitality businesses valuable nationwide brand visibility. Included are opportunities to participate on the judging panel or to sponsor award categories. “More than this, businesses will be partnering with us to promote excellence in the industry,” says Anderson.

The Hospitality Awards will culminate in a prestigious gala dinner where the winners will be announced. “We are looking forward to hosting this spectacular event honouring our sector’s most deserving individuals and businesses and the strides they are making in raising the hospitality benchmark,” Anderson concludes.

Nominations and entries for the FEDHASA Hospitality Awards will close on 29 February 2024.
