16 SATSA incubatees participate in Sigma International social media masterclasses in celebration of Tourism Month
As part of its ongoing programme to empower tourism entrepreneurs, 16 incubatees from SATSA attended interactive social media masterclasses hosted by Sigma International during Tourism Month this September.
These virtual sessions equipped participants with practical skills and tools to amplify their business presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Canva.
SATSA incubatees gained first-hand experience in social media content creation, analytics, and strategy through the blended learning approach of videos, live tutorials, hands-on assignments, and a WhatsApp group.
Feedback highlighted the immense value of this upskilling initiative for SATSA members. One incubatee said: “This opportunity to give ourselves time for the Sigma team's guidance will benefit us and our businesses for life.”
Incentives like data bundles, devices, and platform subscriptions motivated full participation, while cumulative grand prizes like laptops equipped incubatees with tools to implement their learnings.
“At SATSA, we are committed to empowering our members with the knowledge and resources to thrive in the digital landscape,” said David Frost, CEO of SATSA. "These social media masterclasses represented a pivotal opportunity for our incubatees to amplify their presence online and take their businesses to new heights."
SATSA continues enabling tourism entrepreneurs through specialised programmes in partnership with organisations like Sigma International, which empowers incubatees through its specialised incubation model adopted by prominent South African brands.
