Role Overview:

The Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and management of our product portfolio, ensuring its competitiveness and alignment with market trends. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the travel industry and a proven track record in product development, supplier management, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

* Product Development & Management:

* Develop and manage innovative and competitive travel products within Southern Africa.

* Conduct thorough market research to identify new product opportunities and trends.

* Continuously evaluate and refine existing products to enhance customer satisfaction and profitability.

* Supplier Relations & Negotiation:

* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers (hotels, lodges, activity providers, etc.).

* Negotiate favorable rates and contracts to maximize profitability.

* Ensure supplier compliance with quality and service standards.

* Marketing & Sales Support:

* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies and campaigns.

* Enhance online presence through content development and website optimization.

* Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.

* Contribute to driving sales through product knowledge and support.

* Operational Management:

* Ensure seamless product delivery and operational efficiency.

* Monitor and manage product performance metrics.

* Provide training and support to sales and operations teams.

* Systems Proficiency:

* Utilize Tourplan and WETU systems effectively for product management and operational tasks.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the travel industry, with a proven track record in product management and development.

* Extensive knowledge of Southern Africa as a travel destination.

* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Ability to travel within Southern Africa.

* Proficiency in Tourplan and WETU is essential.

* Agile, adaptable, and energetic professional.

* Proven management skills.
