Tourism industry mourns the loss of industry leader

It is with deep sadness and shock that we learnt of the passing of our colleague, Francois Grove, owner of Safaris Direct.

Francois also served as a Board Member of SATSA and was the Chairperson of the Mpumalanga Chapter.

Commenting on the news of Francois’ passing David Frost, CEO of SATSA said that Francois was such a special piece of SATSA’s as well as the industry’s jigsaw and he will be missed by all.

“I am very saddened by this news. I first met Francois during my Tourvest Inbound days 20 years ago. I was privileged to work intensively with him on the OSV self-regulation project, to which he committed not only time and energy, but also his knowledge and passion.  Francois leaves us with a great legacy and he will be sorely missed,” added David

Hannelie du Toit, SATSA COO said that a big tree has fallen. “Francois, you will be missed!”
