Tourism KwaZulu-Natal was the first Destination Management Organisation (DMO) in Africa to be accredited as a United Nations World Tourism Organisation S’Best DMO, and to receive the prestigious UNWTO Ulysses Award for Innovation in Tourism Governance. Tourism KwaZulu-Natal received this award as a result of its Knowledge Management Programme. Tourism KwaZulu-Natal is an associate member of the UNWTO and a member of its Destination Council.

UGU South Coast Tourism
Ugu-South Coast Tourism is the regional tourism marketing and development company for the Ugu district municipality, appointed to manage tourism in the district.
The organisation has information offices throughout the district, supplying visitor information. The marketing development and event organisation takes place from head office in Port Shepstone.
The area incorporated is from Umdoni (Scottburgh) in the north to Port Edward in the South, and Inland as far as Harding.
