DUTIES INCLUDE The Global Product department within South African Tourism’s marketing department and works hand in hand with the South African tourism trade to assist them in gaining better knowledge of tourism and how they can increase tourist’s arrivals, geographic spread, increase length of stay of domestic and international tourists. Marketing responsibilities: Under speed Marketing  Liaising and hosting of stakeholders and key industry partners.  Provincial speed marketing project – travelling, planning and executing the speed marketing event from liaising with provincial partners and key stakeholders in the different provinces.  Coordinating and presenting on speed marketing.  Providing training for tourism product owners.  Coordinating Pre- speed marketing digital platform.  Planning and executing the international speed marketing event is held at the big Indaba tourism travel trade show.  Briefing agencies on speed marketing branding and marketing collateral.  Coordinating, allocating funds accordingly for each speed marketing event and budget fund analysis after each event.  Briefing provincial partners and product owners. Planning and arranging all logistics for the speed marketing event.  Creating and tracking purchase orders and tracking spend  Ensuring supplier invoices are paid timeously. Under regional hosting specialist  Develop detailed itineraries with relevant and accurate information in line with country insights and business plan.  Site inspections to identify new products and match them to country needs.  Showcase existing and new products.  Creating mutually beneficial relationships between the product, supplier, SA Tourism and hosted travellers and guests.  Provide effective, proactive logistical and financial coordination for specified region. Under Welcome  Ensuring SMME tourism toolkits are sent off to the relevant SMME to be trained, on how to better welcome tourists.  Drafting emails and conducting telephonic calls to exhibitors of tourism products and services (for indaba travel trade show 2017).  Hosting of meetings Africa 2016 and indaba travel trade show 2017.  Working with FCB agency, in ensuring the welcome stand on both events (Meetings Africa and Indaba) and airport activations are delivered as per contract.  Manage marketing material inventories and control and account for all marketing materials.  Liaise with marketing agencies to ensure work is supplied as contracted.  Assist in coordinating and participating in agency briefing sessions.  Social media reports.  Preparation of country insight reports.  Preparing Provincial Reports.  Report writing Administrative responsibilities:  Booking Board rooms and preparing for meetings  Provide timeous responses and follow-up to enquiries  Ensure my travel and accommodation arrangements are booked in a timeous manner
