Don’t miss the finale of the SATSA Conference audio series

In the final episode of the SATSA Conference 2017 Janine Botha, Economist at Wesgro, explains exactly what the downgrade means for tourism businesses. In her address Botha discusses everything from the definition of a credit ratings to how the downgrade has little influence over the tourist’s decision to visit a destination.

Botha defined tourism as being one the “pockets of excellence in the South African economy”. She urged delegates to positively change the narrative, and encourage investor confidence through growth in new markets, and commitment to excellence.

Also included in this episode is a panel discussion entitled “Investing in the Downgrade – Lessons, Pointers, Incentives”. To listen to the full episode, click here.

Now that we’ve wrapped up the audio series for the 2017 SATSA Conference held at Spier, Stellenbosch, we’d like to share a few statistics offered up by delegates:

• Networking and informative panel discussions were highlighted as the most beneficial aspects of the conference.
