Developing tourism together - SATSA, FEMOTUR join forces

On the 23 November 2018, SATSA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mozambican Tourism and Hospitality Federation (FEMOTUR). FEMOTUR represents the Hospitality and Tourism Industry in Mozambique.

SATSA and FEMOTUR both recognise the importance of collaborating to provide international buyers with advice and information on quality tourism partners in the region – all with the aim to position Southern Africa as a preferred tourism destination.

The MOU is driven by the motivation and purpose of promoting exchange and cooperation between SATSA and FEMOTUR on tourism activities development within both countries, encouraging their members to exploit the tourism potential and resources available.

The MOU will see SATSA and FEMOTUR working together to encourage networking between members and participation at each other’s conferences and meetings. It will also include sharing of relevant information and collaboration on initiatives to ensure the highest standards of service and professionalism in the regional tourism sector.

The signing event took place during Fikani 2018 which was held in Maputo between 22 and 24 November.
